Snack and Meal Times

Little Footsteps provides healthy snack options that include fresh fruit, vegetables, breadsticks, crackers, houmous, cheese and other nutritious items. Snacks are given out in the morning and afternoon. We also provide the children with fresh water and milk throughout the day. Snacks and drinks are included with your session fee.

For an additional cost, children can be served up to three meals a day. Our meals follow the Norfolk County Council nutritional values guidelines, which ensure balanced and nutritious meals. We have an expert chef on site who prepares these homemade meals with locally sourced ingredients. We can meet your child’s dietary requirements. We do not allow nuts on site.

Discipline

At Little Footsteps, we try to help children understand that there are consequences to unwanted behaviour. We use calm communication to make children aware of their actions and encourage them to apologize for misbehaviour. In instances where it is warranted, we will use a timeout system and/or discuss behaviour issues with parents or carers at collection.
Our staff will reinforce positive behaviour with verbal praise. We will also reward children with stickers, star charts and certificates when they display good behaviour. Visual aids are beneficial for youngsters learning how to behave.
